IES Linköping is looking for a School Nurse starting Autumn Term 2026

As a school nurse, you work closely within the IES Student Health Team, as well as with management, teachers, mentors, and student support staff.

We are now recruiting for the autumn a completely new school nursing team for grades F-9, shared between two school nurses.

The positions are full-time and include standard duties according to the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish National Agency for Education guidelines, such as:

• Health talks and health checks
• Open reception for students
• Doctor's office duties
• Vaccinations
• Preventive and health-promoting work
• Health information in lesson/seminar format for students

You work closely with the school's other school nurse and collaborate with the principal and the other professions in the student health team to support students' development towards educational goals. Collaboration with the municipality and other agencies, as well as contact with guardians, is a natural part of the job.

The central student health medical unit at IES consists of the MLA (Medical Leader), coordinating school nurses, and resource nurses who work in close cooperation with school nurses at the schools. From central IES, new employees are offered introductions, network meetings, and ongoing training, as well as close accessibility for support and questions.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with specialist education in: Child and Adolescent Health, District Nursing, or the School Nursing Program
• Previous experience as a school nurse is meritorious

Employment Terms

Permanent position with a 6-month probation period. Full-time (100%) during daytime. Holiday relief position.
